These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at www.horseandchariot.com, all related subdomains, online communities, content, products, and services operated by Horse and Chariot, a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (“Horse & Chariot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. ABOUT US

Horse and Chariot is a nonprofit organization dedicated to producing Christian teachings on virtue, leadership, and personal formation. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and equip individuals through free and donation-supported content, courses, products, and community engagement.

The nonprofit is the legal owner of the website, user accounts, user data, and all operational assets of the Horse & Chariot brand.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use the website. If you create an account or participate in our community, you affirm that the information you provide is accurate.

Horse & Chariot may provide content designed for children, but such content is intended to be accessed and managed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and children under 13 may access our content only under the supervision of a parent or guardian, using the parent’s account.

3. ACCOUNTS & COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

If you create an account for our community, courses, or products, you agree:

  • To provide accurate information

  • Not to share your password

  • Not to use your account for illegal, harmful, or abusive activity

  • To follow all community guidelines, if applicable

  • To respect other members and maintain a constructive environment

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content published by Horse & Chariot—including writings, curriculum, designs, artwork, branding, videos, audio, and materials—is protected by copyright and owned either by:

  • Horse & Chariot LLC (which licenses content to the nonprofit), or

  • Horse and Chariot Nonprofit (for nonprofit-created or purchased content)

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content without written permission.

Personal sharing (non-commercial) of teachings or excerpts is permitted with attribution.

5. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

If you submit content (comments, posts, messages, testimonials, etc.):

  • You grant Horse & Chariot a non-exclusive license to use, display, or share your submissions for ministry or promotional purposes.

  • You affirm that your content does not violate the rights of others.

  • You agree not to post harmful, defamatory, hateful, or inappropriate content.

We reserve the right to remove user content that violates our standards.

6. DONATIONS

All donations made to Horse and Chariot are voluntary and non-refundable except in cases of processing error or legal requirement.

You understand:

  • Donors receive no goods or services in return unless explicitly stated

  • Donation receipts will be provided for tax purposes

  • Monthly donors may cancel at any time

We use third-party processors to securely handle donations.

7. PRODUCT SALES

Horse & Chariot sells mission-aligned products, books, and materials. All purchases made through our website are subject to:

  • Transparent pricing

  • Clear shipping policies

  • Reasonable refund/exchange procedures

Books licensed from Horse & Chariot LLC are sold through a wholesale arrangement that is IRS-compliant and approved by our board.

8. PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to:

  • Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity

  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the website

  • Collect personal data of others

  • Post vulgar, hateful, or inappropriate content
